Lynn M. Guthrie-Smith
Pooler – Lynn M. Guthrie- Smith, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, 59, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at her residence peacefully.
Lynn retired as Effingham County State Court Solicitor in 1999 and retired from United Way of Coastal GA as a 211 Operator in 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Wayne Guthrie.
Survivors include her husband, Max Wayne Smith of Pooler; children, Amanda Leah Guthrie of Pooler and Jeremy Wayne Guthrie of Guyton; step-daughter, Melanie Smith Twiddy of Marietta; granddaughter, Emma Scarlett Twiddy; brothers, Randy Gene Mobley of Hinesville and Byron Greg Mobley of Rincon; half-sister, Debbie Parker of Hinesville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Freddie Mac Guthrie and Sondra Foster Guthrie; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel with Rev. Buddy Jones officiating.
Interment will follow in Guyton Cemetery.
