Lynwood Hunt

Rincon – Lynwood Hunt, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at his residence.

The Florida native was a member of North Salem Baptist Church and retired from Stone Container. He served as an Airman in the U.S. Navy.  He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Bertha Hunt; and his wife, Gwen Hunt.

Survivors include his daughter, Elaina Garrett of Rincon; his son, Al Hunt of Guyton; granddaughters, Kristen and Brooke Capwell; great-grandchildren, Tinlee Rose Writch, Luke Johnson, and Landon Carter; brother, Eddie Hunt; sisters, Sandra Marriott, Betty Jo Turk, and Sharon Reynolds ; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at North Salem Baptist Church.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.
