Bloomingdale: Mrs. Mabel Kent Groom, 88, died July 17, 2007, at The Place in Pooler.
She was a longtime resident of Bloomingdale and lived for the past several years with her sister on Tybee Island. She was a homemaker and was predeceased by her husband, Dixie Groom.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, JoAnn Shearouse, and Frances and Darrell Harris, all of Pooler; a sister, Olivia Pagan of Tybee Island; six grandchildren, Kelly Clemens, Ronnie Shearouse, Christie Sumner, Jason Harris, Stacy Carver and Leigh Harris; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation 6 - 8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Services will be 11 A.M. Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Westside Memorial Gardens on Adams Road in Bloomingdale. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Shearouse, Jason Harris, Billy Bland, Mickey Bland, Ricky Kent, Jimmy Pagan and Ralph Pagan.
Remembrances may be given to Hospice Savannah, P. O. Box 13190, Savannah, Ga. 31416.
