Garden City-Mrs. Mable Nease Temples, 91, died on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at
Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Temples was born in Effingham County and had lived in Garden City for many
years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie H. Temples and she was
employed for many years as a L.P.N. with Dr. Randall Wilburn. She was a member of
the Garden City United Methodist Church where she attended the John Barnes Sunday
School Class, was a member of the Prime Timers, the Hooks Circle and a member of the
Church Council. She was also a member of the Savannah Christian Women, a long time
volunteer of the Savannah Red Cross and helped with Meals on Wheels. She was tireless
in her devotion to her family, friends and her Church and was an inspiration to all that
knew her.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis & Gloria Temples of Guyton
and Terry & Cathy Temples of Baxley; grandchildren, Chad Temples of Guyton and
Hollie Temples of St. Simons Island; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Garden City United Methodist Church with burial
to follow at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery on Wheaton Street.
