Obituary
Port Wentworth-Mrs. Madie Myers Rowland, 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Madie was born in Graham, GA to the late Malcolm & Nancy Myers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rowland, three sisters, and a brother. She was a member of Bonnybridge Baptist Church, the Port Wentworth Senior Citizens, an honorary member of the Marine Rescue Squadron, and she regularly attended the Port Wentworth City Council meetings.
Survivors include her children, Dale (Bill) Morgan, Douglas (Gerry) Rowland, and Diane (Brad) Proudfoot; those who were like daughters, Barbara (Danny) Craven, and Carolyn Stevens; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Spath; brother, Jimmy Myers, and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
