Garden City-Mrs. Mae Tillman Jernigan, 85, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Riverview Health & Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Mae was born in Register to the late Carl & Maggie Tillman. She was also preceded in death by her son, Willis E. Jernigan. She was a member at Bible Baptist Church for over 50 years. She and her husband owned and operated Mae's Sew & Save Shop where she loved teaching ladies how to sew, and she was an excellent seamstress.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Willis M. Jernigan; daughter, Phyllis Glover; grandchildren, Amy Cooper, Lindsey Hill, William S. Glover, and Willis B. Glover; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Saturday followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler with Pastor Tommy East officiating. Burial will follow at Lower Lotts Creek Church Cemetery in Bulloch County.
