Guyton-Maleek Matthew McGeachy, 19, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 in Kodiak, Alaska while serving his country in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Maleek was born in Saint Andrew, Jamaica. He was a member of the first graduating class of New Hampstead High School where he was a member of the Air Force R.O.T.C. He enjoyed gaming, working out, and playing soccer.
Survivors include his father and mother, Cargill & Rebecca McGeachy; his biological mother, Annmarie Campbell-Scully; brothers, Caleb, Enzo and Zander McGeachy, and Mark Scully; his grandparents, Victoria Scott, Allan & Pauline Montie, and the rest of his family.
The visitation will be on Thursday, July 20th from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler.
The graveside funeral and burial will be on Friday, July 21st at 2 p.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery located at 1601 Boundary Street in Beaufort, South Carolina.
