Marci Metzger Aiken, age 50, of Rincon, GA passed away on the evening of Tuesday, December the 12, 2017.
Marci was born on January 13, 1967 in Jacksonville, FL to William Marvin and Iris Virginia (Hinkle) Metzger. Marci was a Registered Nurse and served for many years in various Neonatal Intensive Care Units across Florida and Georgia. She was always someone to lend a helping hand, a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. Marci was always the one to light up a room with her joyful eyes, contagious laugh and beautiful smile. She was an avid cat lover with a small soft spot for canines. She will forever be remembered as an amazing friend, a loving daughter, a selfless mother and an outstanding toddie.
Marci is survived, in addition to her parents, by her three children; Benjamin Fordree, Kyndell Bevis, and Olivia Bevis; granddaughters, Emmalynn Gray Hudson and Harper Elyse Fordree; sister, Melanie Metzger Yarley and husband Chuck; nephews, Hunter Furman Smith and William Tyler Smith among many other loved ones.
Services will be held at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December the 15th, and Pastor Joe Eason of Trinity Baptist Church will officiate. The burial service will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery immediately following the service. The family will begin receiving friends at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December the 15th preceding the service.
