Rincon, GA - Margaret Theresa Gandy Columbus, 81, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at
her home surrounded by her family.

The Massachusetts native formerly of Wellesley and Largo, FL retired from the Kendall
Company in Boston and worked at Sun Life of Canada in Wellesley. She was preceded
in death by her parents, Matthew Gandy and Mary Frances O'Hara.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William Carroll Columbus of Rincon, GA;
children, Carol Bessette and husband Paul, granddaughter, Amanda Bessette,
great-granddaughter, Skyla all of Litchfield, NH; William Matthew Columbus and
companion Colleen Jessen of Port Ritchie, FL; Michael Gerard Columbus and companion
Kathy Caruthers, granddaughter, Michele Columbus all of Tampa, FL; Amy Maciulewicz
and husband George, grandchildren, Nicholas James, Janelle Nicole, and Kaidee Lynn all
of Rincon, GA; brother, Edward Gandy of Winchendon, MA

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009 at St. Boniface Catholic
Church in Springfield, GA.
