Margaret has been described as the best sister in the world – a wonderful, caring, and deeply loving mother to her three children. She was a hard worker, loyal to the core, cheerful in spirit, and never afraid to speak her mind. To us, she was always the number one princess. She adored her cats, treasured her coffee, and found joy in life’s simple comforts. As a little girl, Margaret was shy and timid, and I proudly took on the role of her protector. No matter how much time has passed, I will always see her as that sweet little girl I wanted to keep safe. She absolutely loved Christmastime. The flow of decorations, the warmth of hot chocolate, and the happiness of cooking a wonderful meal for others filled her heart with joy. I can still remember us sitting by the window as children, watching the night sky, hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus and his reindeer. We shared big dreams of becoming singers one day and making it big as adults – dreams filled with laughter and endless possibility. Margaret also loved to travel. One of her favorite places was Dollywood, where she could relax, explore, and enjoy time away. She loved exploring the country and creating memories wherever she went. Margaret’s love, warmth, strength, and spirit will live on through her children and through all of us who were blessed to know her. She will forever be missed, forever cherished, and forever my sister. Margaret worked at Cracker Barrel for over 20 years, loved Chevy Chase movies and her cats.

The memorial service to honor Margaret’s life will be at 12 noon on Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home.
