Faulkville- Mrs. Margaret Lee DeMine, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
She was born July 22, 1941 in
Savannah, Georgia to the late Margaret Osteen and John E. Lee, Sr. Graduate of H.V Jenkins High School Class of 1959. She married the love of her life, Charles "Gus" DeMine, in February 1960 who proceeded her death in 2006.
She was a devout Christian and member of Faulkville Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler, having bowled in tournaments all over the U.S. She enjoyed baking, flea-marketing, taking trips to Disney and watching daytime soaps. She loved skipping town as often as possible with her little sister. Her "babies" were her greatest joy, she loved and was very proud of each and every one of them.
Margaret is Survived by her Sister, Patsy Williams; Brother, John E. Lee, Jr; Two Daughters and a son-in-law, Penny and Curtis Hinderliter and Ginger DeMine; Grandchildren, Randy Spivey, Marie Ambrose, April (Robbie) Tuttle and Lori Lamp; 12 Great-Grandchildren, Justen, Jordan, Alyssa, Jaelynn, Taylor, Jasmine, August, Peyton, Kevin, Blake, Maddox and Anderson; Plus 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter, Lyla May; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. All of these who she loved deeply.
The visitation will be on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The graveside funeral and burial to honor Margaret's life will be on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Gravel Hill Cemetery located at 1501 U.S. Highway 80 in Bloomingdale, GA.
