Margaret Ford Edwards
Clyo – Margaret Ford Edwards, 52, passed away August 2, 2017 at Memorial Health surrounded by her family and friends.
The Effingham County native was a member of Clyo United Methodist Church where she played the piano for the past 37 years. She loved playing the piano, singing, dancing, and recently became a member of the Effingham Orchestra. She was employed at Effingham Hospital for over 33 years, was a member of A.A.R.T., and was an advocate of Breast Cancer Awareness. She loved working with youth and children and was an inspiration to many with her dedication and "tell it like it is" spirit.
She was preceded in death by her father, James E. Ford, Sr.; son, Kyle Morgan Edwards, Jr.; and sister, Jennifer Ford.
Survivors include her husband, Kyle M. Edwards, Sr., whom she would have been married 32 years on September 7; son, Noah W. Edwards; mother, Sarah S. Ford; sister, Pamela F. Arroyo (Ruy) of Baltimore, MD; brother, Jim Ford; father and mother-in-law, Ossie and Frankie Edwards; numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Wanda McDuffie, Christie and Larry Collins, and Ryan Edwards.
The family would like to thank the staff at Effingham Health System, Summit Cancer Care, and Memorial Health for the care provided to their family.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
