In Loving Memory of Margaret Ann Hardwick Marchant

Age 74

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Hardwick Marchant, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who departed this life on July 1, 2025, at the age of 74.

Margie was born on August 19, 1950, in Lakeland, FL to the parents of Mavis and Mitchell Hardwick. Margie had two siblings: Sister- Susie Hardwick Hughey and Brother -Daniel Hardwick.

Margie married the love of her life, the late James Marchant Sr., in 1969. Together they had five children. Four daughters and One son and their spouses. Melissa Ann Marchant Buckner (Steve Buckner); Deanna Irene Marchant Hughes (Dallas Hughes); James E. Marchant Jr (Jennifer Marchant); Tracy Renee Marchant Gregory (Steve Gregory) and Late daughter Christy Lynn Marchant. Forever, cherished and remembered by her fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Margie will be remembered not only for the love she gave but for the warmth she brought into every kitchen she entered. Her fried pork chops and homemade biscuits were family favorites. The joy of being gathered around her table will be deeply missed.

A graveside burial will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Beaufort National Cemetery where her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband and proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. James E. Marchant Sr.
