Port Wentworth-Mrs. Margaret Levy Zipperer, 83, passed away on Monday, December
29, 2008 at her home with her family at her side.

Mrs. Margaret was born in Savannah to the late Leon Samuel & Margaret Burleson Levy.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Leon Levy, Eugene Thomas Levy, Agitha
"Tootie" Trapani and Marian Williams. Mrs. Margaret was employed with the Savannah
Bank until her first child was born and then she became a stay at home mother. She was
very involved with the P.T.A. while her children were growing up and later enjoyed
watching her grandchildren participate in sports. She was a member of the Port
Wentworth United Methodist Church, the Rainbow Girls and the Carman's Brotherhood
Union Auxillary. Mrs. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Sylvester N. Zipperer, Sr. of Port Wentworth;
children, Sylvester N. "Zip" Zipperer, Jr. of Port Wentworth and Cindy & Marty
Seckinger of Guyton; grandchildren, Justin & Crystal Zipperer, Derrick Zipperer, Kristin
Seckinger, Blake Seckinger and Brooks Seckinger; great-granddaughters, Addison
Zipperer and Megan McDermott and a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation for Mrs. Margaret will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.

The funeral to celebrate Mrs. Margaret's life will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the Port Wentworth United Methodist Church with burial
to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
Rev. Grable Page will officiate and the pallbearers will be Rantz Zipperer, Jr., Dennis Temples, Tony Barras, Travis Kent, Charlie Ruiz, Randy Hall and Terry Joyner.
