Guyton-Mrs. Margie Carter Foskey, 74, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at her home.
Mrs. Margie was born in Savannah to the late Willie D. & Hazel K. Wise. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Foskey. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children, Ann & Dennis Steptoe, Carl & Tori Carter, Willadean & Dennis Spikes, Tim & Shelia Carter and John & DeAnne Carter; sister, Betty Clark; brother, Jessie Wise; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her granddaughter, Crystal Coleman for the love and care that she gave Mrs. Margie.
The visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the funeral home.
The funeral to celebrate Mrs. Margie's life was at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Anslem Springer officiating. Active pallbearers were Dennis Steptoe, Shawn Steptoe, Jimmy Steptoe, Thomas Spikes, Michael Spikes and Allen Rowe. Honorary Pallbearers were James Rowe, Trey Steptoe and Tony Steptoe. Burial followed at Marlow Cemetery.
