Marian Theresa Donley
Springfield – Marian Theresa Donley, 78, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Effingham Hospital.
Born April 18, 1935 in Baltimore, MD she moved to Savannah in 1982. She was a member of Silver Hill United Methodist Church, King's Daughters and Sons, and volunteered at the Manna House in Rincon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Mildred Long; sister, Gloria Holder; and husband, George T. Donley.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Ward, James Ward, Wanda Parrish, and Curtis Barnett; brother, Melvin C. Long, Sr.; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel.
Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in her memory to the Methodist Children's Home in Macon, GA, www.themethodisthome.org.
