Pooler-Mrs. Marie "Dell" Lucas Trotter, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her home.
She was born in Savannah on December 21, 1934 to the late Hulda Robbins Lucas and Clarence Cleveland Lucas. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to everyone. She was also preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Debra Cavanah; brothers, C. Alvin Lucas and James M. Lucas, and a sister, Sylvia Williams.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Louis Trotter; daughter, Glenda Bivins; sons, Donnie Moore (Kim) and Kim Moore; sister, Tonya Hiers; brother, Larry Lucas (Virginia); grandchildren, Tiffany Nevers (Mike), Joshua Bivins, Craig Moore, Dustin and Nicholas Cavanah; great-grandson, Michael Nevers, and several nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank Janet Stark, a friend and caregiver.
The visitation will be at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral to follow in the chapel at 11 a.m.
