Maire Elaine Scarborough, 75, peacefully and beautifully entered the realm of heaven on October 31,2021 surrounded by her adoring family. Marie Elaine was born on September 29, 1946 and was a native to Chatham County. She spent the last year living in Shellman Bluff. She was a member of The Seed Church. She graduated from Groves High School in 1964 and received a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from the Mustard Seed Bible Institute. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and devoted to the Missions outreach where she taught for many years. She was a wonderful, loving wife, adventurous mother and grandmother and made every moment together a celebration. She is survived by her adoring husband, Edward Dale Scarborough; her daughters, Shanda Padilla and Jackie Frerks Wilson, son-in-laws, Roman Czerwinski and David Wilson, grandchildren Abbey Elizabeth, Isabel Milagro, Sarah Tye, Manuel Antonio, Brianna Alina , Raquel Feliz  and Amanda Sofia; and sister, Janice Crawford. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Lynn Slingluff and her parents, Delmus and Marie Arledge. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a time of visitation from 6 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
