Marie Greenway Whitlock

Rincon – Marie Greenway Whitlock, 79, passed away February 27, 2018 at her residence.

The Pennsylvania native was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Stella Cozzupoli; husbands, Rev. Ernest A. Greenway and Winfrey Whitlock; siblings, Betty Bryant, Teresa Provence, Joe Provence, and Jim Provence.

The family would like to thank Pruitt Hospice for the care provided for their mother.

Survivors include her children, Cathy Seward (Kenny), Linda Anderson (Chris), and Frank Greenway; grandchildren, Geni Bramlett (Jamie), Frani Spain (Jason), Ashly Hodges (Carey), Torry de Vallette (John), and Megan Noel Malone; 8 great-grandchildren, step-children, Laura Taylor (Derek) and Jeff Whitlock (Missy); several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
