Marilyn Treanor Oliver, 94, of Pooler GA , passed on October 11, 2012, to be united with Christ, her Lord. She was the daughter of Robert Donnelly and Arline Ulmer Treanor of Savannah, Marilyn was also preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Oliver, Jr., a son, L.E. (Duke) Oliver III, and a daughter, Marilyn O. Sherman. She and her husband performed a Vaudeville act for many years before returning to Pooler to start their family. Later in life, Marilyn was employed by Sears Roebuck and Rite Aid. Miss Marilyn was a lifelong member of the Pooler First Baptist Church and the Win-One Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her son-in-law, William (Bill) Sherman and his wife, Daphne, of Pooler, a granddaughter E.Yancey Boddiford and her husband, Derrick, of Savannah, a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Heddleson, and her husband, Chris, and two great-great grandchildren, Natalie Claire and Matthew Alexander Heddleson of Savannah. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul and Richard Treanor along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Friday, Oct 12, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Newton Hill Cemetery in Pooler with Otis Hill, Pastor of First Baptist, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in memory of Mrs. Marilyn Oliver be made to Hospice of Savannah for the great kindness and care she and the family received from them.
