Guyton – Marion Patrick (Pat) Collins, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior after a long illness.

He was born in Olar, SC on May 16, 1942 to the late Rosemary Marie Ward Collins and Edward Thomas Collins.  He retired from Union Camp.  He led a life exemplifying Christ.  Pat loved music, fishing and spending time with his family including the annual cane grinding in Olar, SC.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Louise Taylor Collins; daughter, Sondra Collins Wood; son, Kenneth Patrick (Christine) Collins both of Guyton, GA; five grandchildren, Charles (Heather) Wood, Thomas (Billie Joe) Wood, Glen (Cristen) Wood, Nicole (Cullen) Wooten, and Johnathan Edward Collins; six great-grandchildren, Emma Reese and Madyson Elizabeth Wood, Samuel Micah and Abigail Deborah Wood, Mackenzie Grace Wood, and Elizabeth Austen Wooten; special cousins, Billy Collins and Betty Jean Riddle.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Memorial Baptist Church, 2607 Memorial Church Road, Olar, SC 29843.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
