Bloomingdale-Mr. Mark L. Dowdy, 91, died on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at his
home.

Mr. Dowdy was born in Irvinville and had lived in Bloomingdale for many years. He was
a member of Monterrey Park Church of God and enjoyed fishing. He served his country
during World War II and retired from Coastal Chlorination. Mr. Dowdy loved his family
and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Dowdy and a daughter, Sally D.
Stanfield.

Survivors include his daughter, Kay Frawley of Bloomingdale; son, Joe E. Dowdy of
Bloomingdale; grandchildren, Mark C. Stanfield, Craig A. Stanfield, Gail Boucher,
Crystal Howell, Pamela Mashia and Gwendolyn Ann Meza; great-grandchildren, Taylor
Stanfield, Bubba Boucher, Bradley Boucher, Conner Howell, Jacob Stanfield and Jett
Stanfield; sister, Dolly Burgess McSwain of Fitzgerald; brother, Willis Dowdy of
Fitzgerald and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 2:30 p.m. on Monday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
