Brooklet/Pooler-Mark W. Wilson, 53, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at his home after a short illness.
Mark was born in Pooler and was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Wilson. He was a member of Rothwell Baptist Church and had been employed with Savannah Electric (Georgia Power) for over 33 years. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, enjoyed playing golf, gardening and fishing. Mark was loved by all, had many friends and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lynn W. Wilson of Brooklet/Pooler; sons, Chris and Ryan Wilson, both of Pooler; granddaughters, Cate and Julia Wilson; mother, Georgia Mae Wilson of Faulkville; sisters, Jo Ann Nichols (Tom), Laquita Wheeler (Jackie) and Barbara Smiley; brothers, Michael Wilson (Donna) and Glen Wilson (Mary); mother-in-law, Beverly Waters of Pooler; sisters-in-law, Susan Spinks and Becky Gantt (Guy) as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Monday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
