Meldrim – Marla Moody Dyson, 58, passed away June 28, 2023 after an extended illness.

The Effingham County native was an ECHS graduate and a longtime employee of New Life Florist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Derryl and Kay Moody, and older brother, Marty Moody.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela (Jamie) Wise; sons, Landon Dyson, Joseph (Shay) Dyson, and Clyde (Amber) Dyson; father of her children, Mike Dyson; 10 grandchildren; brother, Michael (Cheryl) Moody; sister, Laine (Chris) Bragg; several nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend, Andrea Anderson.

Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the funeral home chapel followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m.

Graveside funeral services will follow at 5:30 p.m. at Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Glennville.
