Marlys Ann Roberts Strempke
Allenhurst – Marlys Ann Roberts Strempke, 54, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 with her daughter, Megan Ann Strempke Kessler, as a result of an automobile accident.
Born in Oelwein, IA to the late Junior Roberts and Dorothy Mae Kraft, Marlys was a military spouse for 22 years. She was employed with Wal-Mart for the past 31 years and was a dedicated mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, David Vincent Strempke; daughter, Shandell Jo Vantassel; son-in-law, Daniel Erksine Kessler, Jr.; grandchildren, Trace, Milo, Tyler, and Teagan; sister, Janet Luloff; brothers, Vern, Kevin, Richard, and Ralph Roberts; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Their visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
