Marsha Rollins Carter, 78, passed away May 3, 2025 at Memorial Health.

The Effingham County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon and the Ruth's Sweet Spirit Sunday School Class.  She retired from Memorial Health after 30 years as a RN in the NICU.  She enjoyed reading, going to the beach, watching the Atlanta Braves, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Austin Rollins and Ethel Ulmer Rollins; son, Charles Ashley Carter, Jr. "Chuck"; sister and brother-in-law, Catherine "Kitty" Finney and Jack; son-in-law, Jack Jackson.

Survivors include her son, Shannon Carter (Stephanie); daughter, Angela Jackson; daughter-in-law, Cindy Carter; grandchildren, Christen Carter Sherrod, Cole Carter (Leah), Caleb Carter, Julia Carter, Maddie Carter, Grace Jackson, and Marque Jackson; great-grandchildren, Adeline Sherrod, Liam Carter, Collins Carter, and Stetson Sherrod; sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Cribbs (Terry),  Debra Polk (Donnie), and Rose Fail "Romy" (Ronnie); and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Rincon Cemetery.
