Marshall J Anderson, 69, of Savannah Georgia passed away on February 18th at Memorial Health following a short illness. Marshall was born on October 2, 1952 in Savannah, Georgia to his loving parents the late James Wink Anderson, Jr. and Mary Joy Anderson. He graduated from Richard Arnold high school. He married his high school sweetheart ,Tricia Gunter ,on October 6, 1973. They were married for 44 wonderful years. She proceeded him in death in 2018. He began his career as a draftsman and was employed with W. Hunter Saussy Engineering for over 20 years until his retirement in 2018. Marshall was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He grew up playing sports and coached girl's softball for over 10 years for the Island Pirates, Herricanes and was the JV softball coach for Calvary Day School from 1995-1998. He also had a love for music, especially the Beatles, and played the bass guitar for the praise and worship team at Radiant Life Savannah. Marshall was known for his humor, kindness and strength. He loved nothing more than to be with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife and his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Brooke Anderson and grandchildren, Charlie and Hannah. Also survived by his brothers, Reverend Jimmy Anderson (Judy), Gary Anderson (Teresa), Chris Anderson (Lin) and his sister, Tina Anderson Groover all of Savannah and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Family and friends will celebrate his life on Thursday, February 24th at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM, immediately followed by funeral service in the chapel
