Martha Davis Daley , 70, entered the Pearly Gates of Heaven on Friday August 22, 2025. Martha was born and grew up in Central Junction in Garden City, GA where she developed many dear friends and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She met her husband, Jarrell, there, and the couple eventually settled in neighboring Effingham County.   She became a nurse that worked in a nursing home, St Joseph/Candler hospital, and finally a doctor's office before retiring of an injury.  Martha was an excellent caregiver , loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt to her family who displayed her love by hosting big family gatherings at her house for the holidays where everyone got to enjoy "Nana's mac & cheese" and her homemade chicken and cornbread dressing.  Martha is preceded in death by her husband,  parents, and a brother.  She is survived by her son Mark Daley (Pam) of Douglasville, GA, daughter Jaime Godbee (Johnny) of Bloomingdale, GA, sister Sandy Davis of Pooler, GA, brother Raymond Davis (Terri) of Guyton, GA, grandchildren Harmony Piatkowski (Nick) of State College, PA, Madison Daley of Augusta, GA, and Zach Daley of Douglasville, GA, and great grandson Marek Piatkowski.  The viewing and visitation will be at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler, GA on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  The funeral to honor Martha's life will be in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Steve McCoy officiating.  The burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Central Baptist Church, 4010 Old Louisville Road, Garden City, GA  31408.  Thomas C.
