Eden – Martha Marie Flakes Wills, 65, passed away January 3, 2023 at her residence.

The Waynesboro native formerly worked at GA Pacific and was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Virginia J. Cain (Ben); parents, Charles Elton Flakes, Sr. and Juanita Turner Flakes; and her grandson, Gabriel Holland Ammons.

Survivors include her children, John Allen Steed (Theresa) and Jacquelyn Ammons (Stephen); grandchildren, Megan Steed (Cameron), John Henry Steed, Addison Ammons, and Ivan Channing Ammons; great-granddaughter, Lakelynn Moore; sister, Linda J. Helmly (Buddy); brother, Charles Elton Flakes, Jr. (Darlene); and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life funeral service at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2023 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Candy Skidmore officiating.

Interment will follow in Rincon Cemetery.
