Mrs. Martha Strickland Fortner, 94, of Savannah, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018. She was born in Daisy, GA on March 7, 1923 and retired from Union Camp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Fortner, son, Frank (Buck) Fortner, 6 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Jim) White; daughter-in-law, Belinda Fortner; grandchildren, Jimbo (Lori) White, Ed (Frances) White, and Frank (Buck), Jr. (Beverly) Fortner; Sherry Fortner, Sherry (Curtis) Deal and Chris (Courtney) Rawlins; 13 great-grandchildren. The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the funeral home followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Brother Jay Murray will officiate and the pallbearers will be Jimbo White, Ed White, Bucky Fortner, Chris Rawlins, Jay Jay White and Tommy Howell. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
