Springfield – Martha Ann Newman Conner, 86, passed away December 5, 2025 at her home.

The Augusta native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield. She retired from Union Camp and had served as a paraprofessional at Blandford Elementary School. Martha loved the Lord and doing his work.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Joe R. Conner; daughters, Jessica Jarman (Joey) and Jennifer Perry (Brian); four grandchildren, Will Jarman (Lexi), Abby Squires (Charlie), Chase Perry and Kate Perry; two sisters, Vernell Barrow and Pat Greenway; and a great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Squires.

A special thank you goes to the ladies at Mrs. Jeans, the Kroger Deli, Tabitha Lauderdale, Georgia Hospice and her church family.

Visitation: 10 – 11 am Monday, December 8, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Springfield.

Funeral: 11 am Monday, December 8, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Springfield.

Interment: Brooklet City Cemetery
