Pooler – Mrs. Martha Hughes Olsen, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 12, 2012 while under the care of Hospice Savannah after a short illness.

A native of Tattnall County, Collins, GA, she is preceded in death by her parents, W.K. (Boy) and Inez Stubbs Hughes, son, Booker Olsen, sister, Matra Harvey, brothers, John D. Hughes, Paul Hughes and Ronnie Hughes.

Survivors include, one son, Dusty (Jenci) Olsen, two grandsons, Avery and Carter Olsen; two brothers, Jimmy (Vivian) Hughes of Lyons, GA, Earl (Faye) Hughes of Meldrim, GA; five sisters, Nell (Kenneth) Sapp of Pooler, GA, Linda (Billy) Riner of Lyons, GA, Betty (Ron) Gordy of Savannah, GA, Mae Jo (Russ) Jeffers of Bloomingdale, GA, Denise (Stan) Locke of Milledgeville, GA; a special brother-in-law, Billy Gordy of Faulkville, GA; former husband, Roger Olsen; special friends, Bill Halsford, Brad, Jennifer & Alexis Halsford, Deidre Cribbs, Diane and Tenneson Holder.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the funeral home.

Funeral: 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at 3 p.m. at Old Anderson Cemetery, Collins, GA and her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Rev. Jimmy Carlisle and Rev. Wendall Thomas will conduct the services with eulogy by Sister Denise Locke.
