Obituary
Port Wentworth-Mr. Marvin E. "Andy"/ "Gene" Hickman, Sr., passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Hospice Savannah.
Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Hickman and a grandson, Brian Thaxton. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at Union Camp for 19 years and retired from Bouy, Hall & Howard Homes.
Survivors include his children, Marvin E. Hickman, Jr., Nancy L. Hickman, Susan E. Aids (David), Sara Ann Thaxton (Stephen) and Annsofi "Fia" Holmquist (Ivan); grandchildren, Christy Wiley, Kristin Turner, Bobby Coleman, Matt Hickman, Jamie Webb, Josh Aids, Marc Hickman, Brandon Thaxton and Erika, Victor, Karin, Carl and Nils Holmquist; five great-grandchildren; half-brother, Robert Adams and numerous nieces and nephews.
The memorial service for Mr. Hickman will be on Friday, January 25th at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 901 W. Hwy. 80, Pooler, GA 31322.
Remembrances may be given to the Alee Temple, 100 Eisenberg Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
