Port Wentworth-Mr. Marvin Howard "John" Richey, Jr., 87, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Westview Nursing Home.
Mr. Richey was born in Commerce, GA to the late Marvin Howard Richey, Sr. and Maudean Archer Richey. He was in the heating and air business. He was a member of the Port Wentworth Christian Missionary Alliance Church and he served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joyce Richey; son, Jimmy Richey; three grandsons, Benjamin Richey, Joshua Richey and Andrew (Ashley) Richey; brother, Joe Richey; sister, Mary Dickerson and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Westview Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Mr. Richey.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The graveside funeral and burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens located at 315 Greenwich Road in Savannah.
