Rincon-Marvin N. Salhany, Sr, 90, passed away November 13, 2017 at his residence. Survivors include his wife of over 18 years, Cathy Cruze Salhany, of Rincon; sons, Nick (Beverly) Salhany, of Ringgold, Scott Vogt, of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Denise Salhany, of Chattanooga, Judi Tompkins, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Candace, Cailyn, Colin, Marissa, Stacy, Grant, and Natalie; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Daisy, Asher, and Camden; several nieces, nephews and hundreds of students/friends who are a part of his family.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 18th at the Savannah First Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Joseph Wamack officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Highland Academy Worthy Student Fund at www.highland-academy.com.
