Savannah- Mary Cecille Benson Harrelson, 94, wife of the late George Harrelson, died Thursday afternoon, June 19, 2014 at Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Harrelson was born on September 29, 1919 to the late Frank and Hettie Benson. She was a Presbyterian and attended Christ Episcopal Church in Savannah for many years. Mrs. Harrelson had a love for living, laughter, Elvis, and especially her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Harrelson and her siblings including her brother, Farrell Benson, who she was especially close to.
Surviving are her children, George Harrelson, Jr., Campbell Harrelson, Jean Harrelson Shafenberg, Shirley Harrelson Claxton and her husband, Ottis, Allen Harrelson and his wife, Sheryl, and Cindy Harrelson Hadden and her husband, Virgil; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10-11am Monday, June 23, 2014 at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11am Monday, June 23, 2014 at the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Private
