Obituary

Savannah - Betty Parish, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2017. She and her husband (Leonard Parish – deceased) left the little town of Stapleton, GA in 1946 to come to Savannah to begin their life together. She made their home wherever his job with the railroad moved them. They had three children – Patsy (Gerald) Ethridge, Nan (Chuck) Jenkins, and Bill (Sandra) Parish. Her primary focus in life was her family. It was said that she loved all of her family unconditionally and equally – a trait not seen much in the world we live in.
In addition to her children, she is survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.
Grandchildren – Tara (Scott) Jones, Patrick (Emily Dixon) Ethridge, Brad (Julianna) Parish, Jonathan (Stacey) Cross, Adam (Keli) Parish, Emily (Jeremy) Horstman, Casey (Nick) Beckley, & Codie Jenkins.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City and the C & S Sunday School Class.

The visitation will be on Tuesday (today) from 5 until 7 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The graveside funeral and burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery located at 1336 Dean Forest Road in Garden City.
