Obituary

Mrs. Mary Lou Harper Boyette, 96, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the Resorts at Pooler.

Mary was born in Collins, Georgia and had lived in Bloomingdale for many years.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Fred F. Boyette, a son, Jimmie Boyette, as well as her parents, Hubert Cecil and Agnes Oliver Harper.  Mary was a faithful member of the Bloomingdale Alliance Church and retired from Bloomingdale Elementary School where she worked in the lunchroom for 30 years.  She cooked her whole life, for her church family, the children at school and for her family.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Weyl and Tammy Myrick (Johnny); daughter-in-law, Maryanna Boyette; grandchildren, Todd Coleman (Diane), Keith Coleman, Patty Hudson (Tim), Jason Weyl, Brandy Collingsworth (Ryan), and Kyle Myrick (Beth); great-grandchildren, Austin Boyette, Todd Everett Coleman, C.J. Moore, J.J. Brown, Emma Weyl, Harper Collingsworth, Rowen Collingsworth, Emma Myrick, Bella Smith and Lily Paddock; great-great-grandson,  Elijah Moore;  sisters, Jessie Hess and Lula Sikes, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  The graveside funeral and burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Tattnall County.
