Savannah-Mrs. Mary Ellen Bright, 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Marshview Senior Assisted Living..
Mrs. Mary Ellen was born in Glenwood to the late Hershel L. & Ola M. Neal. She was currently a member of New Providence Baptist Church and formally a member of First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth where she taught Sunday school for a number of years and was involved with Campers on Missions. She retired from Georgia Pacific.
Survivors include her husband, N.A. "Junior" Bright of Savannah; children, Paul A. & Emma Bright of Warner Robins and Russell & Karen Bright of Springfield; grandchildren, Perry & Gina Bright, Neal & Jami Bright, Allison Bright and Rachel Bright; great-grandchildren, Brianna Bright, Noelle Bright-Chavez and Ella Katelyn Bright; brothers, H.L., Jr. & Laura Neal of Dublin and Aaron & Sandra Neal of Danville; several nieces and nephews and Lamar & Ernestine Salter of Port Wentworth, who were like family to the Brights.
The Bright family would like to thank the Marshview Staff, including Donna, Dee and Nikki.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Glenwood.
