Mary Therese (Diny) Dresdow, 81, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 12, 2026. A gathering of family and friends will be held in Wisconsin at a later date to celebrate the life of such a peppy, loving, honest, and truly special person. Mary was born on May 30, 1944, the daughter of the late Nicholas Diny and Antoinette (Vissers) Diny of Greenleaf, Wisconsin. Mary grew up in the Catholic faith and remained devoted throughout her life, faithfully watching Mass on television in her later years. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Green Bay and attended St. Norbert College. Over the course of her long and varied career, she served as a regional manager for several companies and ultimately retired from the Citizen Watch Company. Her life’s journey took her across the country—spending a third of her years in Wisconsin, a third in Oregon, and a third in Florida—before settling in Georgia in her later years. Mary found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life. She adored dogs, including her three beloved grand-dogs, and she began each morning with a Sudoku puzzle. With an adventurous spirit, she flew a Piper Cub airplane, skydived for fun, and achieved her goal of zip-lining before her 80s. She cherished conversations and visits with friends and family, and she had a remarkable gift for connection. Mary never met a stranger she didn’t like; she made friends easily and kept them close throughout her entire life. She is survived by her husband, John (Jack) Dresdow; her sons, Jason Dresdow and Dylan Dresdow; Dylan’s long-time girlfriend, Shelly Yi; Haley Kirchen and her husband, Kent Kirchen; her brother, Jerry Diny; and three sisters-in-law, Carol Diny, Patricia Diny and Lolita Dresdow. Mary was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: John Diny, Leo Diny, Larry Diny, Nick Diny, and Roselyn (Toddy) Daanen. She was also preceded in death by many in-law siblings, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who enriched her life. Mary’s warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her wishes where to be cremated without a service.
