Macon-Ms. Mary Smith Fussell, 86, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.
Born in Jasper County, SC, she graduated as Valedictorian from Grays Consolidated in Early Branch, SC in 1944. She worked with Kaiser Aluminum as an Administrative Assistant in the Traffic Dept. for 32 ½ years. Mrs. Fussell was the daughter of the late Ray M. Smith and Katie Marie Smith and was also preceded in death by sisters, Hazel Rivers and Josie Winn.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann Yeomans & Gary, of Macon, GA; grandchildren; Sandra Dominy & Trae, and Brad Yeomans & Janet; great-grandsons, Dean Yeomans, Parker Yeomans, and Griffin Yeomans; great-granddaughters, Grace Dominy, and Carlyn Dominy; sisters, Dorothy L. Smith of Savannah, GA, and Honorie Beverly of Walterboro, SC; brother, Ray Douglas Smith & Mary Ann, of Varnville, SC; special nephew, Kevin Rivers, and many other nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Chapel-In-The-Gardens Presbyterian Church in Garden City.
The visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
The graveside funeral and burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery located at 1336 Dean Forest Road in Garden City, GA.
