Guyton – Mary "Hazel" Hill Morgan, 76, born July 29, 1946, went home to be with her Heavenly father on February 21, 2023.

She was an Effingham native.  She retired from Springfield BP in 2010 after managing the store since its opening.  She worked in management at several convenient stores and also worked at White Stag Sewing Factory in her earlier years.  She was a dedicated member of Springfield Oaks Church.  She enjoyed family, friends, shopping, playing cards and was always ready for a road trip.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lamar and Mary Hill as well as her brother, James "Doodle" Hill.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harold Morgan; daughters, Denise Johnson (Rock) and Amy Pevey (Scott); she had two loving bonus children, Lindsay Proctor (Josh) and David Morgan (Heather).  She had the most loving grandkids, Stephanie Jackson (Jay), Paul Johnson (Heather), Ashely Moore (Reid) and Erin Pevey; as well as two great-grandchildren, Jaylyn Jackson and Berkleigh Johnson.   She also cherished her bonus grandchildren, Abigail, Annabelle, Davin, Tripp, Ty, Riley and Drew.  She also leaves behind one brother, Lamar "Buddy" Hill, Jr.  Hazel was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.  Her family both immediate and extended meant the world to her.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023 followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. in the chapel at Strickland Funeral Home, Springfield, GA.

Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2023 at Springfield Cemetery Annex.
