Rincon - Mary Arnease Howard Moore, age 87, died Saturday, July 21, 2018.

She graduated from Commercial High School in 1949 and retired from U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.R.(Billy) Moore; son Daniel B. Moore; parents Ruth & Carl Horton, Sr.; brother Carl T. Horton, Jr.; and sister Nancy Horton.

She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Rincon. She taught Bible study for many years, volunteered at Manna House Ministries, and was a founding member of Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County.

Survivors include children Patricia (James) McElveen, Randy Moore, Paul (Allison) Moore, as well as 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Rincon at 10:00 a.m.

Remembrances may be given to Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County to assist in eliminating poverty housing, or to First Baptist Church of Rincon for World Hunger Fund.
