Mrs. Mary Ellen Hutto Seckinger of Garden City, Georgia walked onto the golden streets of Heaven on Monday, December 26, 2011.
Born in Egypt, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Samuel F. Hutto. Mary was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was employed with Stanley Home Products for 42 years, during which time she received awards for Top Sales in the State of Georgia, Top Recruiter, as well as the President's Award. Mary was affectionately known as "The Stanley Lady." Her customers quickly became good friends and as such were treated and cared for like family. Her family was her pride & brought her great joy, especially her grandchildren. They surrounded Mary in their love as they gave her back to God. We praise Him & thank Him for the gift of our mother/grandmother. Mary enjoyed her monthly date with her craft buddies. Craft was the cover name for a gathering of good friends to encourage, support, & love each other.
She is survived by John M. Seckinger, Sr., her husband of 61 years; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Grimes; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Cindy Seckinger; grandchildren, Kristin, Blake, and Brooks Seckinger, Cathy (Scott) Pursell, and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Emmeline Pursell.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel, located at 901 W. Hwy 80, Pooler, GA.
