Mary Joyce "Mema" James Perkins

Rincon - Mary Joyce "Mema" James Perkins, 68, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at
Memorial Health from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

The Lyons native was previously worked at Taylor's Restaurant, Red & White, and a
homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe S. James and Vesta Wilkes
James; husband, Mizzle Alfonzo Perkins, Jr.; sister, Susie Miley; and brother, Roy James.

Survivors include her children, Johnny and Donna Perkins of Springfield, Kathy and
Donnie Waddell of Guyton, Becky and Randall Spivey of Springfield, Pam and Eugene
Lennox of Rincon, Regina and Tony Rowe of Ridgeland, SC; 26 grandchildren; 16
great-grandchildren; brothers, Donny, Kenny, and W.H. James; a number of nieces and
nephews; sisters-in-law, Wilma Jones and Katherine Shea.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
