Rincon – Mary Amelia Lanier Rogers, born September 12, 1937 went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2022, the daughter of George H. Lanier, Jr. & Ermyn Tuttle Lanier. Mary "Amelia" was a resident of Effingham Care Facility, where she was well cared for.

She was a graduate of Commercial High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Faith Christian Bible College & Seminary. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Toni Cockburn; great-grandsons, infants Ezra Thomas Kersey & Micah Sean Kersey; and son-in-law, Brian Hagan.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Rincon for as long as she was able being a member of the Jolly Singers. She also volunteered at the Manna House and as a Pink Lady at the Effingham Hospital.

She is survived by her 6 children, "Chuck" Rogers (Patti), Terri Kilpatrick (Joe), Karen Hagan, Kevin Rogers (Trish), Pamela Jackson (Glenn), and Joseph Rogers (Leigh); her 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service remembering her sweet smile will be 11 am Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at her daughter's house at 200 Frank W. Dasher Lane, Guyton, GA 31312. Dress is casual.
