Mary Katherine McKay, 73, passed away on the morning of September 22, 2022 from cancer. She goes on to join her beloved late husband Carl Robert McKay Jr. She is survived by her loving sisters Alice and Dreama, her brother Johnny, stepson Carl Robert McKay III, granddaughter Kaelin Durst, grandson Alexander McKay, niece Megan Yardley and family as well as many others who loved and cared for her.

Mary (or Kathy, Kat or Nana as she was known to family and friends) was a sweet person with a perennially happy disposition even in the hardest of times. She was quick with a snappy retort, loved to chat with everyone, worked hard to make a happy home for her family, helped raise many children whom doubtless she considered all her own, and was a joy to those who knew her. Though she was a tiny lady at only 4',8" tall, she had a big heart and loved to share it with others. She passed in peace and comfort at home and is now reunited with those who've gone on before her.
