Rincon – Mary Carmen Plano Garcia Norton, 95, passed away February 2, 2025 at Effingham Extended Care.

Born in Murcia, Spain on August 27, 1929.  She immigrated to the United States when she was 39 and was especially proud of becoming a naturalized citizen.  She was a nurse, enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, gardening, and especially roses.  But most of all she loved her family, loving and nurturing them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce L. Norton, Sr.

Survivors include her children, Royce L. Norton, Jr. and wife Kristen Lester Norton, Gwen Norton, and Debbie Norton; grandchildren, Ella Norton, Emily Norton, Jennifer Rodriguez, Lawrence Huizar, and David Huizar; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Beech Branch Baptist Church, 212 Beech Branch Church Road, Luray, SC 29932.
