Mrs. Mary Margaret Platt Dasher, 80, of Midway, GA, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021.

She was born in Lyons, GA to the late Warren & Lois Platt.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry K. Dasher, Sr., brothers, Donald, Dale, and Kenny Platt, a sister, Gwen Farmer, and her step-father, Alfred S. Saunders.  In the early 70's she was one of the first 6 women to serve with the Savannah Police Department.  She was a nurse, having been employed at Candler Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Liberty County Hospital, and with the Georgia Health Department-Women's Health Division.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Glennville where she played the piano and organ.  She loved to fish, travel with her sister, and cook.

Survivors include her children, Cissy Hopper (Ernie) and Jeff Hilderbrand (Beckie); grandchildren, Whitney Elaine Smith (Shane), Leighton Shane Hopper, Michael Denton Hopper (Anna Marie), Elizabeth Marie VonWaldner (Will), and Emily Kristine Rowley (Larry); great-grandchildren, Dylan, Michael and Caleb Smith, Conner Hopper, Patick, Noah, Kaitlyn and Isaac VonWaldner, Jackson and Gabriel Rowley; great-great-granddaughter, Rosalee VonWaldner, and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the funeral home with the memorial service to follow at 12 noon in the chapel of the funeral home.
