Mrs. Mary Pearl Sapp, 83, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 13 2025 at Memorial Hospital.
Mary was born in Tattnall County and had lived in Pooler for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reggie Sapp, a grandson, Jake Sapp, and her parents, Jake Andrews and Voncille Bradley Andrews. She was an active member of Rothwell Baptist Church where she did everything except preaching or serving as a Deacon. She was employed for a number of years at Pooler Daycare as well as Bloomingdale Elementary School. She will be remembered as a hard worker, but most of all, for being a loving wife, mother, and Mimi.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Lori Sapp, Randy and Laurel Sapp; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Vitor Batista, Naomi and Douglas Williams, Makayla and A.J. Wiley, and Bella Sapp; great-grandchildren, Mila Batista, Paisley Wiley, Bubbie Wiley, Calvin Wiley, Evie Batista, and Juni Williams; brother, Henry Andrews, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Mary's life will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery near Claxton, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to Rothwell Baptist Church, 216 East Rothwell Street, Pooler, GA 31322
